As Assistant Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Wyoming\, he designs and implements programs that inspire creativity\, foster entrepreneurial thinking\, and connect students and faculty with opportunities to launch and grow new ideas. \nPrior to joining the University of Wyoming\, Alexander spent more than 12 years at Champaign Cycle Co.\, where he served as President and Sales Manager. In that role\, he led daily operations\, built high-performing teams\, and helped grow a customer-focused business in a competitive market. His work ranged from strategic planning to hands-on bicycle fitting\, all grounded in creating positive customer experiences and long-term value. \nAlexander is passionate about building bridges between academia and industry\, mentoring emerging innovators\, and creating inclusive environments where entrepreneurship can thrive—whether in rural communities or on university campuses. Her research in clinical exercise physiology and orofacial myology has drawn international recognition and been showcased on NPR’s Science Friday with Ira Flatow.  Over the past 30+ years she has developed a systematic and interdisciplinary network conducting collaborative research focused on exercise physiology\, orofacial myology\, neurocognition\, biomechanics and functional performance. Dr. Bell has led and published FDA regulated product validation and test-retest reliability research\, in addition to\, physiological\, neurocognitive and functional performance work. Her entrepreneurial background has further led to three start-up companies\, development of several products\, secured intellectual property\, and established a platform to mentor students aspiring to be the next generation of researchers.  		\n																														\n					Jerrid Matthews\, Ph.D.				\n		Jerrid Matthews serves as an instructor for the NSF I-Corps program and Software Architect at IBM. Jerrid previously co-founded Vesta Mobile Solutions\, a company that provided media\, entertainment\, and small businesses the ability to engage with their users through text messaging. He is also the recipient of prestigious awards\, such as the NSF I-Corps grant and the Falling Walls Lab “Young Innovator of the Year” award. In his spare time\, Jerrid enjoys sailing and volunteers as an instructor and mentor in various S.T.E.M programs.

She has been teaching the NSF I-Corps curriculum since 2015 through the University of Iowa and more recently the Great Plains Hub. Elizabeth’s current projects include providing curriculum expertise for the Global Insurance Accelerator and serving as a Business Advisor in the Goldman Sachs 10\,000 Small Businesses program. \n																														 \nBethany Hughes\nBethany Hughes\, a two-time graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha (BS in Journalism and an MS in Counseling)\, has a passion to create spaces for others to reach their full potential. Since 2014\, she has been the director of the CBA Scholars Academy\, a leadership development program for business students at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. During this period\, he earned his MBA from the University of Sioux Falls and initiated his PhD studies in Management at Capella University. Roach transitioned to academia\, commencing his teaching career as a full-time faculty member at Dakota State University in 2003\, specializing in economics and management. In 2017\, he assumed a role at DSU’s Madison campus and pioneered the entrepreneurial studies program\, concurrently serving as the faculty advisor for the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization student club. Furthermore\, Roach actively engages in mentoring startups\, having contributed his expertise to Startup Sioux Falls\, the Paulson Cyber Incubator and Entrepreneurial Center\, and presently the Great Plains I-Corps Hub.

He is dedicated to advancing scientific innovation and talent development at both the faculty and student levels. \nFaustino founded an independent grant consultancy serving clients in academic\, industrial\, and government sectors\, helping faculty secure funding from federal agencies and private foundations\, with particular emphasis on supporting early-career and new investigators. \nHe also co-founded the STaR Program\, a national\, year-long STEM mentored research experience for high school students\, whose participants have presented at leading regional\, national\, and international venues and published in peer-reviewed journals. Faustino continues to develop innovative approaches to STEM engagement and accessibility for K-12 students. \n																														 \nGreg Bertsch\nGreg Bertsch is currently an Assistant Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of South Dakota. Prior to teaching\, Greg was Co-founder of biotech startups Halomine\, Inc. and Antimicrobial Materials. Greg also has extensive industry experience\, particularly in the automotive sector. \n																														 \nAlex Wewell\nAlexandra Wewel is an Omaha-based entrepreneurship leader and community-builder who serves as Assistant Director for the Center for Innovation\, Entrepreneurship and Franchising at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She leverages her MBA and background in venture and ecosystem support to design programs\, events\, and experiential learning opportunities that empower founders\, students\, and the region’s startup ecosystem.​ \nAlex’s experience spans venture funding\, ecosystem storytelling\, and program facilitation. She gives back as a 1 Million Cups Omaha co-organizer and active community volunteer\, focusing on building scalable processes\, strengthening partnerships\, and creating spaces where emerging entrepreneurs can experiment\, grow\, and thrive.
