The Regional I-Corps training at University of Nebraska Omaha spans five weeks, offering a blended approach to assess the market potential of your technology. This program welcomes both researchers and entrepreneurs, the curriculum explores the commercial potential of deep technology solutions across any industry sector. It prepares researchers to extend their focus beyond the lab and consider the economic and societal impact of their work.
Participants in an I-Corps team should allocate roughly 8-10 hours weekly throughout the duration of the five-week program. Each team should include, at the very least, an entrepreneurial lead (EL) and a technical lead (TL).

MEET THE INSTRUCTORS
Stephanie Kidd
Stephanie serves as the Communications Strategist for the UNeTech Institute, Omaha, Nebraska’s only university-supported entrepreneurial support organization. UNeTech, housed under the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the University of Nebraska Omaha, helps the inventions from faculty and staff from the University of Nebraska ecosystem transition from idea to successful commercialized business.
Elizabeth Hallgren
Elizabeth Hallgren is the founder of The Levain Group, a business growth training and coaching solutions firm. She has been teaching the NSF I-Corps curriculum since 2015 through the University of Iowa and more recently the Great Plains Hub. Elizabeth’s current projects include providing curriculum expertise for the Global Insurance Accelerator and serving as a Business Advisor in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program.
Bethany Hughes
Bethany Hughes, a two-time graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha (BS in Journalism and an MS in Counseling), has a passion to create spaces for others to reach their full potential. Since 2014, she has been the director of the CBA Scholars Academy, a leadership development program for business students at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In addition, she has taught college-level courses in business communications and career preparation, volunteered as a mentor for the Great Plains I-Corps Hub, is a Gallup-certified Strengths Coach, and co-owns a Strengths-based consulting and coaching company.
