GPH Regional I-Corps | Taught by University of Montana (Spring)

The Regional I-Corps training offers a blended approach to assess the market potential of your technology. This program welcomes both researchers and entrepreneurs, the curriculum explores the commercial potential of deep technology solutions across any industry sector. It prepares researchers to extend their focus beyond the lab and consider the economic and societal impact of their work.

Participants in an I-Corps team should allocate roughly 8-10 hours weekly throughout the duration of the five-week program. Each team should include, at the very least, an entrepreneurial lead (EL) and a technical lead (TL)

  • Session 1: Monday, March 2, 5pm – 7pm MST
  • Session 2: Monday, March 9, 5pm – 7pm MST
  • Session 3: Monday, March 16, 5pm – 7pm MST
  • Session 4: Monday, March 23, 5pm – 7pm MST
  • Session 5: Monday, March 30, 5pm – 7pm MST

MEET THE INSTRUCTORS

Sarah Truglio

Sarah Truglio is currently serving as the Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship programs at the University of Montana. Sarah is dedicated to creating a vibrant ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship. She spearheads programs that encourage students, staff, faculty, and the greater community to think critically, take risks, and turn their ideas into reality, providing them with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities needed to thrive in the competitive landscape.

Sam Alario

Samantha Alario is a heart-led entrepreneur, educator, and mother of two. She is the founder of Gemini Mountain Swimwear, a sustainable swimwear brand based in Missoula, Montana, known for its commitment to eco-friendly, locally made products.

In addition to running her business, Samantha serves as the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program Manager at the University of Montana, where she works to support aspiring entrepreneurs and foster innovation through hands-on programs and mentorship.

Samantha specializes in creating real value, community-building through customer discovery, and leveraging the entrepreneurial mindset to drive success. She thrives on helping others navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship and enjoys guiding both startups and established businesses toward sustainable growth.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Samantha enjoys spending time outdoors with her children, collaborating with local artists, and mentoring fellow entrepreneurs on their business and personal development journeys.
